Karen Handschuh

Karen Handschuh has extensive work experience in the medical field. Karen started their career as a PhD student at INSERM in 2003, focusing on cell invasion processes during placental development. Karen completed their PhD in 2007 and then joined Weill Cornell Medicine, where they worked as a Postdoctoral Associate, Research Associate, and Assistant Professor. Their research during this time led to the discovery of a new gene involved in early limb development. In 2016, Karen joined Health Science Communications and held various roles, including Assistant Medical Director, Associate Medical Director, Medical Director, Senior Medical Director, and currently, Vice President and Medical Director.

Karen Handschuh received their Master's degree in Genetics from Université Paris Cité in 2002. Karen then pursued an Advanced Master's degree in Developmental Physiology and a PhD in Cell Biology, both also from Université Paris Cité, between the years 2003 and 2007.
