Matt Dykstra is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Communications Officer for the Health Sciences Association of Alberta since January 2025, where responsibilities include developing strategic communications for 29,000 health-care professionals. Previous roles include Senior Climate Campaigner at Oceans North, Communications Advisor for the City of Edmonton's City Manager's Office, and Press Secretary for both Alberta's NDP Caucus and the Government of Alberta. Matt Dykstra began a career in journalism as a Multimedia Journalist at The Edmonton Sun and served as a Store Manager at Blockbuster Canada. A graduate of MacEwan University, Matt Dykstra holds a Diploma in Communications and Professional Writing.
