Joss Reimer

Hospitalist - Women's Hospital at Health Sciences Centre

Joss Reimer currently serves as President of the Canadian Medical Association since May 2024 and holds the position of Associate Professor at the University of Manitoba, where involvement spans from April 2012 to the present, including roles as Assistant Professor and Director of Undergraduate Medical Education in Community Health Sciences. Additionally, Joss Reimer has been the Chief Medical Officer for the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority since April 2022 and works as a Hospitalist at the Health Sciences Centre's Women's Hospital since August 2021. Joss Reimer's experience encompasses teaching as a Course Instructor for the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada since December 2017 and serving as Medical Lead and Official Spokesperson for the Provincial Vaccine Implementation Taskforce for the Government of Manitoba from March 2012 to April 2022. A background in public health is supported by a Master of Public Health degree and several medical degrees from the University of Manitoba and other institutions, with comprehensive training in Public Health and Preventive Medicine, as well as Obstetrics and Gynecology.
