Tonya Walker

Tonya Walker, known as "The Shoe Maven," is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in content development and community advocacy. As the Founder and Editor of The Shoe Maven since April 2014, Tonya oversees daily operations, social media engagement, and strategic planning. In addition to contributions as a Co-Host for the PD Connect podcast, Tonya serves on the Patient Leadership Council for Sunovion Pharmaceuticals and is a Community Advocate for Health Union, LLC. With a strong commitment to Parkinson's awareness, Tonya has participated in various roles, including Patient Ambassador for Medtronic and member of the Patient Advisory Board for the Parkinson Association of Central Florida. A background in legal education, with a Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law, complements Tonya's advocacy efforts, particularly highlighted by the "Heels On, Head Up!" campaign for young onset Parkinson's disease and contributions to Parkinson's Life Magazine.
