Corinne Hammons

Corinne Hammons is currently a Board Member at the Health & Welfare Council of Long Island. Corinne has over 20 years of experience in non-profit operations and management.

Corinne began their career as a Senior Grants Associate at Safe Horizon, a non-profit that provides support to victims of crime and abuse. Corinne quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the Administrative Director in 2000 and Vice President in 2004.

In 2005, Corinne left Safe Horizon to join the Community Development Corporation of Long Island (CDCLI) as their Executive Vice President of Operations. Corinne oversaw daily operations of all of CDCLI's programs, marketing, and development. In 2008, they were promoted to Senior Vice President overseeing Rental Assistance, Weatherization, and Green Initiatives. Corinne served in this role until 2011 when they were awarded Long Island Business News' "40 Under 40" Award.

After their successful tenure at CDCLI, Corinne joined the Energeia Partnership, a two year Long Island regional stewardship program. Corinne is now a Board Member at the Health & Welfare Council of Long Island.

Corinne Hammons has a executive certificate in nonprofit management from Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy, an MPA in public policy from NYU Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, and an AB in economics from Harvard University. Corinne also attended the Bryn Mawr School.
