Naveen P. has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2012 as an Intern Counselor for Pacific Tech Camp. In 2014, they worked as an iOS Developer. From 2016 to 2018, they were a Backend Development Intern for Bill.com, and then a Full Stack Development Intern for Intuit in 2018. In 2019, they returned to Intuit as a Backend Development Intern. In 2020, they were an Undergraduate Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University, where they published a paper on computing the death rate of COVID-19 while accounting for lag and unknown infection count, developed new probabilistic models for predicting COVID-19 infections and deaths with proven mathematical guarantees, combined reinforcement learning with logical proofs to make factory robots safer, partnered with Siemens, created and verified a differential-dynamic-logic model for obstacle avoidance using formal methods, presented in CPS V&V Grand Prix competition, researched optimization algorithms for MAX-SAT, and presented a poster at an undergraduate research seminar. Naveen also completed coursework in Comp. Biology, Functional Prog., Parallel Algorithms, Cyberphysical Systems, Networks, Graph Theory, Quantum Computing, Complexity Theory, and Combinatorics. In 2021, they began a PHD Student role at UC Santa Barbara and is currently working as a Software Engineer at HEALTH[at]SCALE Technologies.

Naveen P. attended Palo Alto High School from 2014 to 2017. In 2017, Naveen P. began attending Carnegie Mellon University and graduated in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Minor in Mathematical Sciences.
