Angela Gibson has extensive work experience in hospital transitions and admissions. Angela currently holds the position of Vice President of Hospital Transitions & Admissions at both Healthbridge Complex Care + Rehabilitation and Health Bridge Orange County Children's Facility. In these roles, they have achieved a significant increase in core business revenue by implementing a successful referral-to-admit ratio. Angela oversees all aspects of hospital transitions and admissions for pediatric facilities, including acute hospital inpatient, outpatient, sub-acute level of care, CHLF level of care, and behavioral health admissions for children and adults. Angela has also developed and implemented admissions policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and streamline the admissions process. Prior to their current positions, they served as Admitting Director at Care Meridian CHLF/Neurorestorative-Subacute for the Catastrophically Ill & Injured, where they successfully implemented day treatment and outpatient admissions programs across multiple locations. Additionally, Angela has experience as an Admitting Manager in acute/subacute rehab at HealthSouth Tustin Rehab/Encompass Health and as an Admitting Manager at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center/St Joseph Health System.
Angela Gibson holds an Associate of Science in General Education from Compton College, which they obtained in 1993. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science in Health Care Management from California State University-Dominguez Hills in 1991. In addition to their degrees, Angela has also obtained various certifications, including Certification in Values Standard Work Shop, Certificate in TQM Implementation in Health Care Services, Certificate in Human Resource Management, Certificate in Counseling and Discipline Strategies, and Certificate in Public Relations Management.
