Lauren Worth is a seasoned professional in workforce and community engagement initiatives, currently serving as Senior Manager at the Healthcare Anchor Network since January 2022. Previously, Lauren held various roles at The Democracy Collaborative from May 2017 to January 2022, including Project Manager and Senior Program Associate focused on healthcare engagement. Additional experience includes a Program Assistant position at The Summit Foundation and being an After School Assistant/Teacher at Sheridan School. Lauren has also completed internships with the Office of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, the U.S. Department of Energy, and Partners of the Americas. Lauren earned a B.A. in International Studies with a focus on Global Environmental Politics from American University, complemented by studies at Universidad Diego Portales.

The Healthcare Anchor Network (HAN) is a nationally recognized collaboration of more than 65+ health systems leveraging their institutional assets more intentionally to improve health and well-being by addressing economic and racial inequities in the communities they serve. HAN works to achieve a critical mass of health systems adopting the anchor mission, a proactive commitment to leverage their economic, political, and human capital in partnership with community to drive equitable, local economic impact. Through defining the healthcare leadership standard, promoting industry collaboration, incubating and scaling anchor strategies, and leading innovations in implementation, HAN strives to build a healthcare and anchor institution movement focused on addressing economic and racial inequities in community conditions that create poor health.
