Savita Nair, Ph.D., currently serves as Associate Director of Analytical Development at Sangamo Therapeutics, Inc., where responsibilities include leading bioassay development since December 2019. Nair has held various roles in the biopharmaceutical sector, including Senior Scientist in Bioassay Analytical Development and CMC Analytical Lead, with a focus on potency assay development for cell and gene therapies. Nair's experience also encompasses positions at ExecuPharm and ATRIN PHARMACEUTICALS, as well as a research fellowship at Fox Chase Cancer Center, where research centered on Natural Killer cell maturation and immunotherapy. Nair earned a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Duisburg-Essen and a Master of Science in Immunology from the University of Strathclyde. Additionally, Nair is actively involved as a Programs Committee Board Member for the San Diego Chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association.
