Monica Diaz is an undergraduate research mentee at the Institute for Research on Labor & Employment, collaborating on a project focused on economic security while previously serving as a research assistant analyzing crime and gender-based violence in Guatemala. Additional experience includes working as an academic caseworker at The Student Advocate's Office and a paralegal intern at Oasis Legal Services, where advocacy for marginalized communities was a priority. Monica has contributed to mentorship programs at Girls Inc. and supported low-income students through tutoring. Further roles have involved healthcare coordination and patient assistance, including telehealth duties and medical assistance at healthcare facilities.
