John Parker

John Parker is an experienced communications and marketing professional with a focus on healthcare. Currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Communications and Marketing at the Healthcare Distribution Alliance since May 2011, John leads marketing strategies and media outreach for the organization representing pharmaceutical distributors. Previously, as the Vice President of Communications at Allied Against Opioid Abuse, John directed a coalition aimed at opioid education and awareness. John's extensive background includes roles such as Senior Director of External Affairs at UnitedHealth Group, Managing Director of External Affairs at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association, and Director of Public Relations at the Association of American Medical Colleges. John began their career in journalism as a Managing Editor and Reporter at FDC Reports, covering biomedical research and FDA regulations. John holds a BA in History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
