Maureen Doran has senior level experience in health systems, developing and implementing strategic initiatives to promote integrated care and business objectives. Ms. Doran’s experiences in healthcare include Clinical Care, Hospital, Ambulatory Care Administration and Primary Care Practice Management. Initial work as a Registered Dietitian transitioned into opportunities in business development and operations.
After working for two multi-hospital systems in New York City in Business Development, Managed Care and physician/hospital alignment work, she spent 15 years with VHA, Inc. (now Vizient), a national performance improvement company. She served as NYS Regional Vice President, Strategic Solutions supporting 44 hospitals in their managed care, physician/hospital and network development strategies. Ms. Doran progressed to serve as Vice President for a two-hospital system in the Hudson Valley providing strategic planning, physician strategy and business development leadership.
Presently, Ms. Doran is the Vice President, Network Development for WMCHealth. In this position, she leads a team focused on network and business development objectives. In addition, she is responsible for network management for the New York State Medicaid Delivery System Redesign Program (DSRIP) Performing Provider System (PPS) for WMCHealth. Ms. Doran holds a bachelor’s degree from Queens College, City University of New York, a Master of Business Administration from St. John’s University and a Master’s of Science degree from Northwestern University in Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety.
She served as an adjunct lecturer for Queens College, CUNY and Lehman College, CUNY in healthcare management and finance and is currently an Adjunct Lecturer at New York Medical College, School of Public Health. Among her professional associations, Ms. Doran is a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives (ACHE), Past President of the Healthcare Leaders of New York, an ACHE regional chapter, and is currently serving as Regent for the New York, Metropolitan region.
In addition to her leadership roles, Ms. Doran commits her volunteer time to supporting colleagues in their professional development through coaching and mentoring.
