Rita Negron

Certified Medical Assistant at Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida

Rita Negron has had a diverse range of work experience in the medical field. Rita started off as a Certified Medical Assistant at North Oakland Medical Center, where they worked in both front and back office positions. Rita performed various tasks such as filing charts, scheduling appointments, and assisting with procedures. Rita also worked at Lee Memorial Hospital as a Medical Assistant, where they gained experience in back office duties including conducting injections, wound care, and medical advice under the supervision of a doctor.

Rita then moved on to work at IMA evaluations, where they initially served as a Medical Assistant before returning to work there as a National Certified Medical Assistant. At IMA evaluations, they performed duties such as venipuncture, eye exams, and preparing reports for the main office. Rita also took care of World Trade Center patients on a yearly basis.

Rita later worked as a Certified Medical Assistant at Physicians Regional Medical Center, where they handled a wide range of responsibilities including referrals, insurance verification, check-in and check-out, and transferring medical records to electronic format. Rita also worked with a family practice doctor in pediatrics, administering injections, calling in medications, and conducting eye exams.

Following their time at Physicians Regional Medical Center, Rita worked as a Patient Care Coordinator at WellMed Medical Management for a brief period. In this role, they assisted patients upon discharge with their home service needs.

Rita also had a position as a Certified Medical Assistant at Summit Health, All Med., where they took part in health fairs, worked at doctor's offices, and filled in for various positions on both part-time and full-time basis. However, they desired a full-time position at one place.

Currently, Rita is employed at Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida as a Certified Medical Assistant in family practice. Rita enjoys working with their patients and their families, particularly the Hispanic community. Their passion lies in helping others and brightening their day with their smile.

Rita Negron has a history of pursuing education in the medical field. In 1982, they enrolled at Pontiac Central High School and successfully completed the College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program, obtaining their diploma in 1986. In 1990, Rita attended Oakland Technical Center, where they earned a certificate in Medical/Clinical Assistant after completing their studies in 1991. In 2014, they joined the NCCT through the AAMA to study specifically for the state exam in order to become a National certified Medical Assistant. It is also noted that Rita has an additional certification as a Certified Medical Assistant, however, specific details about the institution and the year obtained are not provided.
