Ashley Harroz joined HPI in October 2010 as Vice President and General Counsel providing strategic legal guidance for the company. Her legal experience includes healthcare transactions, such as physician and hospital arrangements; complex healthcare mergers and acquisitions; analyzing and drafting operating and other business ownership agreements; state, local and federal regulatory and compliance to include fraud and abuse, reimbursement, hospital licensing and accreditation, the Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA/HITECH and Medicare/Medicaid rules and regulations; securities laws and corporate governance; employment and labor matters, including human resources policies and investigations; managed care and general business agreements.
In 2021, Harroz became HPI's Chief Executive Officer. Prior to her current position as CEO, she became HPI Administration’s Chief Operating Officer in 2019. As COO, Harroz managed relationships with HPI’s joint venture partners, USPI and INTEGRIS, as well as relationships with HPI’s physician investors. Additionally, she oversees HPI’s real estate portfolio, human resources department to include employee health and welfare programs, risk management, contract management and compliance programs. Harroz also provides operational and legal guidance to the physician practices that HPI manages.
Prior to joining HPI, Harroz served as General Counsel for Graymark Healthcare, Inc. Harroz’s other professional experience includes serving as in-house legal counsel for the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and Assistant District Attorney for Cleveland County. She received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and prior to that, graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in Letters. Harroz currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for Northwest Surgical Hospital.
