Ciro Javier Diaz Penedo

Ciro Javier Diaz Penedo is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in applied mathematics and data-driven research. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Healthcare Systems R&A Inc., Ciro leads the Brainexus project, which utilizes artificial intelligence for therapeutic video game control aimed at stroke rehabilitation. Previously, Ciro contributed as a Data Scientist at Bitbolide, where a novel process for predicting Calculus question difficulty was developed, and worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Toronto Metropolitan University, focusing on numerical solutions of financial equations. Earlier experience includes a role at SINOBRAS, where Ciro created a deep learning model to optimize alloy properties, significantly reducing steel production costs. Ciro holds a PhD and a Master's in Applied Mathematics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas, along with a Bachelor's in Mathematics from the University of Havana.
