Steven Luong has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Steven currently works as the Data Quality Lead for the National Health Services Directory (NHSD) at Healthdirect Australia. In this role, they coordinate and mentors team members, manages stakeholder communications, and provides advice and education on directory data. Prior to this, Steven worked as a Data Analyst for NHSD, where they used PySpark, SQL, and Python to perform ETL and data analysis, and was heavily involved in data validation and ingestion during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Before joining Healthdirect Australia, Steven worked at the Australian Bureau of Statistics as a Survey Team Leader, where they gained experience in decision-making, data submissions, and CRM solutions. Steven also has experience as a Department Team Leader at MYER, where they provided leadership and support for sales teams and played a key role in deploying the Myer IPad Online Ordering System. Earlier in their career, Steven worked as an Electrical Retail Salesperson at The Good Guys and as a Research Assistant at UNSW, where they were involved in data collection, participant screening, and report writing.
Steven Luong completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at UNSW from 2008 to 2011. Steven then pursued a Master of Science in Science Management at the University of Technology Sydney from 2013 to 2017.
