Dr Marcus Tan

Dr Marcus Tan has a long and varied work experience. Dr Marcus began their career in 2009 as the Founder / CEO / Managing Director of HealthEngine, Australia's #1 Consumer Healthcare platform. In 2011, they became an Adjunct Associate Professor (Health Leadership & Management) at Curtin University. In 2012, they joined the Australian Medical Association (WA) as a Board & Council Member and Chair of Nominations, Remuneration and Governance (NRG) Committee. In 2014, they were appointed Director & Chair of WAPHA Nominations, Remuneration & Governance (NRG) Committee at the WA Primary Health Alliance. In 2015, they became Chairman of the Perth South Primary Health Network. In 2017, they joined the Channel 7 Telethon Trust as a Member Board Of Trustees. In 2009, they also became General Partner of Future Health Ventures. Finally, in 2005, they co-founded the Meridian Global Foundation and in 2022 they joined Purpose Ventures as a Venture Partner and Spacecubed as Chair.

Dr Marcus Tan's educational history includes completing a CDC from the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2007, an Executive MBA from AGSM @ UNSW Business School from 2001 to 2005, a FRACGP from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners from 1998 to 2000, an MBBS from The University of Western Australia from 1991 to 1996, and attending Christ Church Grammar School from 1985 to 1990.
