Susan Forrester AM has a long and varied work experience. Susan began their career in 2011 as a Director and Chair of the People and Culture Committee at G8 Education Ltd, a S&P/ASX 200 company with a market capitalisation of circa. $1.4 billion. In 2015, they joined Over the Wire as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the People and Culture Committee. In 2018, they became an Advisory Board Member of the Diligent Institute, a think tank dedicated to board directors. In 2019, they were appointed a Councillor of the Queensland Division of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In 2020, they became a Chair and Non-Executive Director of Wallbridge Gilbert Aztec (WGA) and Plenti, a fast growing, technology led consumer lending and investment business. Susan also joined Jumbo Interactive Limited as a Chair and Non-Executive Director. In 2021, they became a Member of the 30% Club Australia. Finally, in 2022, they were appointed a Non-Executive Director of Data#3 and Chair and Non-Executive Director of Healthengine.
Susan Forrester AM began their educational career in 1985 at The University of Queensland, where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Japanese Language and Literature by 1987. From 1996 to 2000, they earned an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from the Australian Graduate School of Management @ UNSW Business School in Management. In 2009, they were awarded a Fellow from the Australian Institute of Company Directors. In 2012, they completed the Chairs' Mentoring Program at the same institute. In 2002, they obtained an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from the Melbourne Business School in Strategy and Digital Transformation. Finally, in 2021, they are currently enrolled in the Securitisation Fundamentals program at the Australian Securitisation Forum in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law.
