John Desser

John Desser has a strong background in government affairs and healthcare policy. John currently holds the position of SVP Government Affairs at HealthEquity. Prior to this, they served as a Board Member for the Alliance for Safe Biologic Medicines and the Association of Web Based Health Insurance Brokers. John also founded and served as a Board Member for the Coalition for Affordable Health Coverage. John has held leadership roles at eHealth Inc, including SVP and Vice President of Public Policy & Government Affairs. John Desser has also worked in the public sector, serving as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health Policy at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Before entering the private sector, they worked as a Legislative Assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives.

John Desser earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs from Northern Arizona University between 1986 and 1990. In 1992, they attended The Johns Hopkins University to study Business Administration and Management, General, but did not complete a degree.
