Barbara Tomaro

Barbara Tomaro has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Barbara began their career at the NASA Johnson Space Center's Public Affairs Office in 1989, where they served as a Supervisor and Writer in Communications and Protocol for 15 years. In 2004, they transitioned to Tessada & Associates as a Technical Editor and Writer before joining MEI Technologies, Inc. in 2009 as an IT Security Assessment Support. Barbara then moved to MRI and S&K Global in 2012, where they were responsible for IT Security Support and served as a Tech Editor. From 2014 to 2016, Barbara worked as a Senior IT Security Analyst at MEI Technologies/Logyx LLC, leading an Assessment Team in conducting IT Security Assessments for over 50 Directorate Security Plans at the NASA Johnson Space Center. Subsequently, they joined Logyx LLC (NASA) in 2016 as a Lead Cyber Security Auditor, where they continued to lead the Assessment Team in performing IT Security Assessments for over 50 Directorate Security Plans. In 2019, Barbara worked as a Regional Information Security Analyst at CHI St. Luke's Health for a brief period before joining HealthHelp as a Deputy Manager IT Audit Review, where they currently assist with audit and compliance responsibilities, performs change management procedures, and develops and enforces IT information security standards.

Barbara Tomaro obtained their Bachelor's degree in Media Studies (Communications) from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Barbara attended the university from 1989 to 1993. In addition to their degree, they hold a certification in CISSP from (ISC)², but the specific month and year of its acquisition are not mentioned.
