Healthier Kids Foundation
Sarah Jane Sanchez possesses a robust background in childhood education and health screening. Currently serving as a Health Screener at the Healthier Kids Foundation since September 2023, Sarah previously held the role of Teacher Assistant at Miss Flora Child Care from April 2018 to September 2023, where responsibilities included leading and mentoring young children, tutoring, and training new staff. Earlier experience as a Health Screener Intern at the Healthier Kids Foundation involved screening over 500 children and providing emotional support during health assessments. Sarah holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Health and a minor in Nutrition and Food Science from San Jose State University, along with an Associate of Arts degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Ohlone College.

Healthier Kids Foundation’s mission is to remove barriers impacting the health, learning, and life success of all Silicon Valley youth. To achieve our mission, we focus on three key strategies: (1) Improving healthcare access and utilization, (2) Changing health behavior through education and (3) Advocating for health policy and systems change.
