Lead Engineer at Healthix

Robert Annan has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology and support. Robert started their career in 1997 as an Applications Specialist at UMDNJ, where they provided hardware and software support for public computer laboratories and helpdesk phone support. Robert then became a primary Technical Writer/Documentation Specialist, responsible for revising technical procedures and troubleshooting hardware and software problems. In 2005, they joined the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ as a User Support Specialist II, where they served as the technical lead for the desktop support team and provided support to executive clients. In 2011, Annan joined Continuum Health Partners as a Clinical Application Analyst, providing support for major clinical applications and their implementations. Robert also worked as a Senior Clinical Application Analyst, responsible for 24/7 technical assistance, end-user support, and server maintenance. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as an Application Platform Engineer at the New York eHealth Collaborative, providing tier 2 and 3 systems and applications support and managing clinical applications and system support software platforms. Robert is currently working as a Lead Engineer at Healthix, where they build, supports, and maintains the VMware virtualized server farm and provides administration and support for RedHat and Windows servers, as well as InterSystems HealthShare application support.

Robert Annan attended Rutgers University from 1992 to 1997. During this time, they did not obtain a specific degree or focus on any particular field of study. However, by the end of their time at Rutgers University in 1997, Robert earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Political Studies and Africana Studies.
