Kamal Deep Singh has extensive work experience in finance, spanning various industries and roles.
Starting in 2001, they worked at Deloitte Haskins & Sells as a Deputy Manager, where they managed a range of assignments including audits, tax audits, and USGAAP reporting. Kamal Deep also developed audit plans and liaised with clients for timely and effective audits.
In 2005, Singh joined Ernst & Young as a Senior Executive in Audit & Assurance Services, further expanding their expertise in accounting and auditing.
Kamal Deep then joined American Express in 2006 as a Team Leader in the Financial Integrity division, where they were responsible for relationship management and process optimization. Kamal Deep also implemented new policies and tools as well as led cross-functional initiatives for value-added analytics.
Singh joined HCL Technologies in 2007 as a Manager in the Business Finance Cell, focusing on business/deal evaluation for new business. This involved pricing mechanisms and outsourcing proposals.
From 2008 to 2014, they worked at Business Standard as the General Manager of Finance, overseeing financial operations.
Singh then joined Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in 2014 as the Head of Finance for India operations. In this role, they were responsible for finance, accounts, treasury, taxation, and legal functions. Kamal Deep improved the financial planning and analysis process, optimized fund planning and allocation, and identified potential risks in the regulatory environment.
In 2019, Singh joined Yatra for Business as the Head of Finance, where they managed financial operations until 2020.
Currently, they are the Chief Financial Officer at HealthKart, a position they assumed in October 2021, where they oversee the company's financial activities.
Kamal Deep Singh began their education in 1982 at N. C. Jindal Public School, where they completed their primary and secondary education. In 1996, they enrolled at SGTB Khalsa College and obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree between 1996 and 1999. Afterward, from 1997 to 2000, Kamal pursued a professional qualification from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, earning the degree of Chartered Accountant. Recently, in 2021, they expanded their knowledge in the field of accounting and finance by completing courses at CPA Australia, where they obtained a CPA (Aus) degree, and at ACCA, where they acquired a Diploma in International Financial Reporting (IFRS).
