Ray Botha

Ray Botha is the current CTO at HealthLeap. Prior to that, they were a Quantitative Software Engineer at Invictus Capital from January 2018 to March 2021. Before that, they were a software engineer at takealot.com from May 2017 to October 2017. From January 2017 to January 2018, they were the CTO at CRYPTO20 where they implemented and oversaw development of front-end, automated trading, integration with several blockchains and creation of smart contract systems. From January 2012 to December 2014, they were a software engineer for a public sector use case where they gathered requirements from law and users, managed the product in cooperation with business partners, and developed and maintained frontend, backend, and desktop software. Prior to that, they were a blockchain developer from January 2011 to December 2011.

Ray Botha has a computer science degree from the University of Cape Town, and is also certified in physics and applied statistics. Ray is a professional member of both the BCS and ACM. In addition, they have a certification in graphic design from the California Institute of the Arts, and is also certified in Google's Modernizing Data Lakes and Data Warehouses with GCP course. Finally, they have completed the MITx on edX course 14.73x: The Challenges of Global Poverty.

They are on a team with and Jemima Meyer - Chief Research Officer. Ray Botha reports to Josiah Meyer, CEO.
