Akilah Reynolds

Akilah Reynolds, PhD, is an experienced psychologist currently serving as a Medical Advisor at Canopie, developing maternal health content and instructing classes. As Supervising Psychologist at Kedren Community Health Center, Akilah leads a team in an inpatient psychiatric hospital while also training psychology students and providing therapy across various settings. Akilah offers virtual therapy for professional women at The Black Girl Doctor and ensures the accuracy of mental health information as a Medical Reviewer for Healthline Media. Additionally, Akilah contributes to curriculum development at UCLA's Semel Institute and co-founded SBW Wellness Collaborative, focusing on mental health support for Black women. Previous roles include Clinical Psychologist positions at Los Angeles County and Children's Hospital Los Angeles, as well as internships and social media management for the American Psychological Association Division 45.
