Ton van der Pijl

Ton van der Pijl has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ton is currently serving as the Chief Logistics Officer at both Base Logistics and HealthLink Europe & International since June 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Chairman of the Board at RSC De Zuidwesthoek, a thriving cycling club, from January 2014 to June 2021.

Ton also has extensive experience in the healthcare industry. Ton worked as the Vice President Global Logistics at Arjo from February 2017 to December 2020. Arjo is a global supplier of medical devices and solutions. Before that, from December 2015 to January 2017, Ton served as the Senior Director Logistics Europe, Middle East & Africa at Getinge Group, a leading global provider of healthcare solutions.

Ton's previous roles include Site Manager at ArjoHuntleigh Nederland BV, Co-Owner at Card Benelux BV, Region Manager/Managing Director at MAXDATA, and various positions at Teleplan International and Xyratex. Their responsibilities in these roles varied from managing sales and operations regions to overseeing logistics operations.

Throughout their career, Ton has acquired expertise in logistics, operations management, and strategic leadership.

Ton van der Pijl attended Ir AJ Versfelt MTS from 1982 to 1987, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electronics. Following this, they pursued a Technical Computer Engineering program at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht) from 1987 to 1990. Ton continued their education at Scutos MTS from 1991 to 1992, earning another Bachelor's degree, this time in Commercial Electronics.
