Hayden Young is a seasoned Senior Network Engineer with extensive experience in network maintenance and administration. Currently employed at HealthLink since February 2017, Hayden has a strong background with previous roles at Spark New Zealand and TLScontact, where responsibilities included systems engineering and network security management. Earlier experiences include significant contributions at NZDF, where Hayden managed complex computer network configurations, maintained server functions, and provided technical support. Notably, Hayden was deployed to East Timor as the sole Systems Engineer, ensuring secure communications for military operations. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics from Massey University.

HealthLink provides a computer communications system that links the information technology systems of more than 15,500 medical organisations across Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Island nations and Canada. Each year more than 80 million pieces of clinical information are exchanged using the HealthLink system. HealthLink provides nearly all ofthe clinical communications used in New Zealand and is the largest provider of clinical messaging services in Australia. HealthLink came into existence in 1993 as a result of the New Zealand government’s health reforms and the company has been developing systems and services that facilitate exchange of clinical information since that time. HealthLink has offices throughout Australia, New Zealand and Canada. The company’s services are offered from data-centres in each of those countries.
