Michael Tierney

Michael Tierney has a diverse work experience in various software engineering roles. In 2023, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at HealthMatch. Prior to this, from 2019 to 2023, they were at Utmost, starting as a Software Engineer before progressing to a Senior Software Engineer/Team Lead and eventually becoming a Principal Engineer/Engineering Manager/Team Lead. At Utmost, they were involved in writing code, rolling out features, managing careers, and mentoring engineers.

Before Utmost, from 2018 to 2019, Michael worked as a Software Engineer at SN Systems Ltd. In 2017, they were at Artofus, where they held three roles - Software Engineer, Research Engineer, and Junior Research Engineer. At Artofus, they delivered computer vision algorithms and developed dev-tools and demos.

Michael's work experience also includes a Software Developer Intern position at Virtalis in 2016, a Teaching Assistant role at Trinity College Dublin from 2015 to 2016, and a Software Development Internship at ICHEC in 2015. At ICHEC, they contributed to a joint project with LexisNexis, developing an IDE for the HIPIE language. Michael Tierney completed their education at Trinity College Dublin. Michael obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Physics and Astrophysics from 2011 to 2015. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in High Performance Computing from 2015 to 2016.
