Daniel Para, MD, FACS

Daniel Para, MD, FACS has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Daniel is currently serving as the Vice President of Medical Staff at Dignity Health Arizona General Hospital since 2019. Prior to this, they worked as a Laparoendoscopic and General Surgeon at Para Surgical Specialists, PLLC since 1996. In 2013, they became an Advanced Trauma Life Support Faculty Instructor at the American College of Surgeons. Daniel also served as the Medical Director and Vein Specialist at Palm Vein Center from May 2013 to January 2017. Additionally, they have been a Premier HealthTap Medical Expert since August 2012, providing general surgery expertise to patients through their interactive health network.

Daniel Para, MD, FACS completed their education in a chronological order. Daniel first attended Stanford University from 1982 to 1986 where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (A.B.) degree in Human Biology. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford from 1987 to 1991, where they earned their Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree in Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Para received certification in "Understanding Einstein: The Special Theory of Relativity" from Coursera in June 2013.
