Ahimsa Porter Sumchai, MD, is a seasoned medical professional with a diverse background in health and wellness, research, and emergency medicine. Currently serving as the Director and Principal Investigator of the Hunters Point Biomonitoring Foundation, Inc., Sumchai leads the nation's first human biomonitoring program, focusing on urine toxic screenings for residents near a Superfund site. As Medical Director of Golden State MD, a health and wellness clinic, and the Health and Environmental Science Editor for the SF Bayview Newspaper, Sumchai contributes to advancing public health knowledge.
