Marcus DeGraw, MD

Marcus DeGraw, MD began their work experience in 1999 as a Pediatric Resident at William Beaumont Hospital. Marcus then completed a fellowship in Child Abuse at Cincinnati Children's Hospital from 2002 to 2003. In 2003, they started working at Ascension where they held various roles including Vice Chair of Pediatrics and Department Chair of Pediatrics. Marcus also served as the Medical Director of the Child Protection Team at St. John Hospital Children's Center, providing comprehensive consultation and treatment for abused and neglected children. In 2014, they joined William Beaumont Health System as a Child Abuse Pediatrician and served as the Medical Director of Inpatient Child Abuse Pediatrics until 2017. Additionally, Dr. DeGraw has served as a Speaker, Consultant, and Expert Medical Witness for various companies including Rhodes Pharmaceuticals, Abbott Laboratories, Merck, Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics, and HealthTap. Marcus has testified in over 300 cases and has extensive experience in the field of child abuse and general pediatrics.

Dr. Marcus DeGraw obtained their MD degree in Medicine from Wayne State University School of Medicine, where they studied from 1995 to 1999. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Albion College, earning a BA degree in Biology from 1991 to 1995. Marcus'ssecondary education includes attending KAMSC (Kalamazoo Area Math) and Parchment High School from 1987 to 1991.

In addition to their formal education, Dr. DeGraw has also obtained several certifications. Marcus became board-certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics in July 2003. Following that, they achieved board-certification in Child Abuse Pediatrics through the same institution in February 2010. More recently, in August 2017, Dr. DeGraw completed a certification in "Finance: Time Value of Money" from Smartly by Pedago, LLC.
