John Young

John Young is the current Chief Medical Officer at HealthTrust. John has held this position since January 2015. Prior to that, they were the VP, National Medical Director at LifePoint Health from January 2015 to December 2018.

Before that, they were the System Director, Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Service Lines at Adena Health System from January 2009 to December 2015.

From January 2008 to December 2009, they were a Professor of Medicine, Interventional Cardiology at The Ohio State University Medical Center.

John was also the Chief Medical Officer at Accumetrics from January 2008 to December 2010.

From January 2006 to December 2008, they were the Medical Director Academic Affairs, and Co-Director Cardiovascular Research at Swedish Heart & Vascular Institute.

John Young started their career as an Interventional Cardiologist at Ohio Heart and Vascular Center from January 2000 to December 2006. John then became the Associate Director at The Lindner Center for Research & Education from January 2000 to December 2006.

John Young has a MBA from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, an M.D. from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, and a B.S. in Chemistry/Biochemistry from Wright State University. John also has certification from the American College of Cardiology (FACC), American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), and American Heart Association/American Stroke Association (FAHA).

They work with Brendan Courtney - President & CEO, HealthTrust Workforce Solutions, Joey Dizenhouse - SVP, Head of Pharmacy Services, and James Hallock - SVP, CoreTrust. John Young reports to Ed Jones, President & CEO.
