Salman Baset

Salman Baset is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in security and product management. Currently serving as Senior Director, Security at HealthVerity since September 2024, Salman previously held the position of Director Product Management Security and Compliance at MongoDB from 2019 to August 2024, where responsibilities included shaping the product strategy for security and compliance initiatives. Prior to that, Salman spent nearly nine years at IBM, first as CTO Security for IBM Blockchain Solutions, overseeing security and compliance for Tradelens, and then as a Research Staff Member focused on innovative security solutions. Salman also contributed to industry standards as Chair of the Cloud Subcommittee at the Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation. An entrepreneur at heart, Salman founded Vazool and developed a real-time communication platform at Columbia University, where a PhD in Computer Science was attained, alongside prior degrees in the field.
