Francesca Filippucci

With extensive experience in Human Resource Management and a strong business development approach, Francesca has held local and international roles in HR in multinational biotech companies within the pharma industry since 2004.

After graduating in Political Sciences at LUISS University in Rome, she started her career in Elan Pharma as an HR Assistant. A few years later, in 2008, she was appointed as Head of HR in Cephalon, where she was also responsible for legal and compliance. In 2011 she decided to join Biogen, a leading biotech Company with a focus on neuroscience.

After graduating in Political Sciences at LUISS University in Rome, she started her career in Elan Pharma as an HR Assistant. A few years later, in 2008, she was appointed as Head of HR in Cephalon, where she was also responsible for legal and compliance. In 2011 she decided to join Biogen, a leading biotech Company with a focus on neuroscience.

She started as Head of HR for the Italian Affiliate to expand her remit also to the Eastern-European Countries (Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Slovenia). During her time with Biogen, she led the company among the rankings of the Best Places to Work for ten consecutive years.

Her attitude and interest towards the market and business dynamics and her curiosity and passion for change, pushed her to explore new roles outside of her background in HR. After completing her Executive MBA at SDA Bocconi in 2018, she led the Customer Excellence & Operations Department of Biogen Italia, where she started a deep dive into the digital transformation process, leveraging her people attitude and passion for digital and omnichannel.

In September 2019 she was asked to set up a new department at a Regional level where she took on the role of Head of Digital Evolution & Change Management for Europe, Canada and Partner Markets, becoming a member of the European Leadership Team and reporting to the President of EU+.

Throughout her career path, she never stopped learning and holds a Master’s in Human Resources Management, a Master’s in Executive and Business Coaching with the recent ACC ICF certification as a professional coach, a Master’s in Creative Leadership and an Executive MBA.

Starting in March 2022, she assumed the role of Chief People Officer at Healthware Group.
