In 1993, Becci started their career as a Staff Accountant at Steiner Faren and Monchik, where they worked until 1997. Becci then moved on to Larry Rabold CPA, where they continued as a Staff Accountant until 1998.

In 1998, Becci joined Superior Walls of American LTD as a Controller, where they worked until 2000. Becci then transitioned to Caron Treatment Centers, where they held multiple roles, starting as a Controller from 2000 to 2003. Becci then became the Corporate Director of Finance from 2003 to 2014, followed by Vice President of Finance/Corporate Treasurer from 2014 to 2017.

In 2017, Becci established Shaak CPA, an accounting services company that later evolved into Shaak Consulting LLC. The company provided accounting services, management consulting, and outsourced CFO services. In 2020, it became Shaak CPA, specializing in tax preparation and accounting for individuals and small businesses.

During their time at Shaak Consulting LLC, Becci also served as an Executive Vice President of Operations at Pennsylvania Adult & Teen Challenge from 2018 to 2019. Becci was responsible for overseeing various departments and contributed to the organization's financial improvement and revenue growth.

From 2017 to 2023, Becci also served as the Chief Financial Officer at Alina Lodge. Becci initially took over as the Acting CFO in 2017, managing month-close processes, audits, budgets, and contract reviews. Becci eventually became the full-time CFO, leading the organization's financial management until May 2023.

Currently, Becci holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at Healthworks, Inc., where they started in April 2023.

Throughout their career, Becci has demonstrated their expertise in financial management, strategy development, policy and procedure development, and system optimizations. Their experience spans a range of industries, including healthcare, addiction treatment, and construction.

Becci Shaak, CPA, MBA, CHFP earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where they studied from 1987 to 1992. Becci later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Executive Healthcare at Alvernia University, completing their studies from 2002 to 2004.

In addition to their academic achievements, Becci Shaak has obtained several certifications to enhance their professional qualifications. Becci became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) through the PA State Board of Accountancy in November 2020. Becci also attained the Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) designation from the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) in November 2015.

Furthermore, Becci Shaak holds the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification from QuickBooks Online™ obtained in December 2020. Lastly, they acquired the bCFN - Blackbaud Certification in Financial Edge NXT Fundamentals 2018 from Blackbaud in March 2018.

Through its primary business of expert staffing, clinical education and training, and industry solutions, Healthworks is a full-service provider of targeted services for the steadily-growing cardiovascular and imaging industries.
