Laura Gomez Cadena

Laura Gomez Cadena is a seasoned professional with experience in venture capital and corporate venture roles at Healthworx and CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield since August 2022. As co-host and co-creator of the Health TechTalks Podcast, Laura engages with innovators at the intersection of healthcare, business, and technology. An MBA and MS in Information Systems graduate from the University of Maryland, Laura previously served as a graduate assistant, providing consultancy within the Robert H. Smith School of Business. Previous roles include business development intern at Relavo, and information technology consultant at the International Finance Corporation, where Laura contributed to significant IT investment roadmaps and project monitoring tools. Academic qualifications include dual bachelor's degrees in Economics and International Affairs from The George Washington University and a certificate in French Studies from Sciences Po Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
