Richard Johnson

Richard Johnson is an accomplished leader in social impact and mental health service systems, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer of Healthy Brains Global Initiative since April 2022. Johnson has extensive experience in development impact bonds and social impact bonds, chairing multiple initiatives aimed at improving employment outcomes for youth and supporting vulnerable populations in the UK and Palestine. Previous roles include Senior Advisor at The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, and Senior Consultant at The World Bank, where Johnson focused on performance-based contracting and service design in low- and middle-income countries. Educational qualifications include an MA in Philosophy & Psychology from Keble College, University of Oxford, and an MA in Applied Linguistics from Exeter University.
