Edwin Clamp, MA, MBA, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in finance, education, and leadership across various sectors. Currently serving as a Financial Analyst at HCHC, Edwin focuses on utilizing business intelligence and analytics to optimize operations within a federally qualified healthcare organization. Previously, as Fiscal Director for Brain Injury Connections of the Shenandoah Valley, Edwin provided strategic leadership during a critical transitional phase. With a background in academia, Edwin has taught multiple courses at James Madison University and Eastern Mennonite University, and has developed programs aimed at enhancing entrepreneurship education. Additionally, Edwin has held various management roles in marketing, information technology, and quality assurance across diverse industries, showcasing a robust skill set in strategic planning, innovation, and operational efficiency. In 2006, several community partners joined the Healthy Community Council to conduct a needs assessment. The results of the Healthy Community Council Report showed that significant challenges in accessing health care in the area existed. In 2007, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration designated Harrisonburg, Virginia as having a Medically Underserved Population. From that designation an action committee formed and successfully created the Harrisonburg Community Health Center, Inc. In 2009, HCHC became a non-profit 501(c)3 federally qualified health center, allowing it the support to be a true universal access medical facility. The Harrisonburg Community Health Center brings together an exceptional team of health care providers, a responsive and helpful administrative staff, and a supportive Board of Directors to fulfill our mission of providing comprehensive primary care health services (family medicine for all ages, women's health and prenatal care. dental services, behavioral health, laboratory services, HIV/AIDS care management and more) to anyone in the community regardless of their financial situation.
