Evelyn Delgado has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Evelyn began their career at Everest & Jennings International Ltd. in 1985, where they served as a Strategic Financial and Business Analyst until 1991.

In 1991, they joined the Texas Department of Human Services as a Regional Director in the Budget and Business Services department, a role they held until 1997.

Moving on, Evelyn worked at the Texas Department of Human Services as a Regional Director in the Long Term Care Regulatory division from 1999 to 2001.

In 2000, they transitioned to the position of Assistant Regional Administrator for the San Antonio Region 08 until 2002.

During that time, they were also an Assistant Deputy Commissioner for the Regional Operations department from April to July 2002.

From 2002 to 2004, they served as an Assistant Deputy Commissioner in the Long Term Care Regulatory division.

In 2004, Evelyn joined the Texas Department of State Health Services as an Associate Commissioner for the Family & Community Health Services Division, a role they held until 2017.

Finally, they became the President and CEO of Healthy Futures of Texas in 2017, where they are responsible for the strategic leadership of the organization, aiming to reduce teen and unplanned pregnancy in San Antonio and Texas.

Evelyn Delgado pursued their education at Trinity University from 1973 to 1977, where they obtained a Bachelor's of Science degree in Business Administration and Management, specializing in General Management. Additionally, they attended The LBJ School of Public Affairs from 2002 to 2003, completing the Governor's Executive Development Program.
