Laura Higginson, RDH, has extensive experience in healthcare communications and dental hygiene. Currently serving as a Board Member at Healthy Humor, Inc. since July 2016, Laura also holds the position of Partner at Big Arrow Group, an independent healthcare communications agency since September 2004. Laura's role at Big Arrow Group focuses on developing strategies and innovative communications to support client objectives. Prior experience includes serving as Account Director at Medicus International from 1990 to 1997. Educational accomplishments include a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Organic Chemistry and an Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Rhode Island.

Healthy Humor brings joy, wonder, laughter and comfort to hospitalized children and all others who need it the most. Children in pediatric hospitals often feel fear, anxiety, sadness and isolation. Our flagship program, Red Nose Docs, offers the magic of healthcare clowns to alleviate the stress of that experience for young patients and their circle of caregivers. Using an array of circus and theater skills, our professional, specially-trained performers work in teams of two to create spontaneous, joyful encounters, reintroducing play and fun as natural parts of life. Healthy Humor is a national, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization (pending). HH’s founders have more than 50 years of combined experience in healthcare clowning. We work in hospitals across the country and are growing every day. Join us!
