Monika Wheeler

Monika Wheeler is an accomplished health executive with extensive experience in leadership and program management across various health initiatives. Currently serving as the Chief Executive at Healthy North Coast since July 2015, Monika leads efforts to enhance health outcomes, particularly in chronic disease, Aboriginal health, aged care, and vulnerable populations. Previous roles include program management positions at North Coast NSW Medicare Local, where responsibilities involved overseeing homelessness and health initiatives, as well as a managerial position in violence prevention at NSW Kids and Families. Monika's career also includes advisory roles for federal politicians and international experience with the United Nations. Educational qualifications encompass a Master of Public Policy from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film from UNSW, along with recent completion of the Company Directors Course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
