Nora Hammack

Nora Hammack has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Nora began their career in 2010 as a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic, where they gained exposure to lab work and academic research. Nora then worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Oberlin College, focusing on decision-making studies using EEG on humans. Nora's interest in neuroscience led their to join Gladstone Institutes as a Research Associate, where they gained valuable research experience before pursuing further education. In 2013, they became a PhD Candidate at OHSU | Oregon Health & Science University, specializing in pain perception and the response of pain-modulating cells to different stimuli. After completing their PhD, Nora transitioned to the tech industry, attending Hackbright Academy's intensive software engineering program for women in 2018. Nora then joined Healthy Together as a Software Engineer, where they are currently working. Nora's past roles have allowed their to develop a strong foundation in computer science, web development, and research methodologies.

Nora Hammack's education history begins in 2007 when they attended Oberlin College, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience. Nora then pursued their academic interests further at Oregon Health & Science University from 2013 to 2016, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Neuroscience. In 2018, Nora attended Hackbright Academy, focusing on Python as their field of study.
