Richard Shaw

Richard Shaw is a seasoned professional in the bioinformatics and software engineering fields, currently serving as a Senior Scientific Programmer at Healx since June 2020. Previously, Richard held leadership positions as Head of Bioinformatics and Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Repositive from May 2016 to June 2020. Richard's extensive experience includes roles as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist and Software Engineer at Illumina from May 2007 to March 2016, and as a Senior Software Engineer at Plasmon, PLC from August 2003 to May 2007. Earlier in the career, Richard contributed as a Software Engineer at Imerge, Ltd. and Image Technologies Developments. Richard's academic background includes an MSc in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, an MSc in Machine Perception & Neurocomputing from Keele University, and a MA in Engineering also from the University of Cambridge.
