Marscha Krouwel has a strong background in the publishing industry, with extensive experience in marketing and leadership roles. Marscha began their career at Analyse Research and Strategy, where they worked as a Project Manager. Marscha then joined Small Business Publishing bv. De Zaak as a Product Manager.
In 1997, Krouwel moved to Audax Publishing, where they served as the Marketing Manager for AvantGarde, Dutch & Chic. Marscha was responsible for the marketing and repositioning of AvantGarde, as well as the launch of fashion magazine Chic.
In 2000, Krouwel joined Hachette Filipacchi Media as the Group Marketing Manager for Special Interest Magazines. Marscha later became the Head of the Marketing Department and eventually the Marketing Director of the company.
Krouwel's next venture was Hearst Netherlands, where they held various positions. Marscha started as the Marketing Director and was later promoted to Publishing Group Director of Women's Brands. In this role, they were responsible for the strategic direction and profitability of brands such as Vogue, ELLE, Harper's Bazaar, and more. Marscha eventually became the Country Manager before being appointed as the CEO in 2022.
Throughout their career, Krouwel also contributed to HearstLab as a member of the HearstLab Scout Advisory Board and the Lead Scout for HearstLab Netherlands.

Marscha Krouwel completed their education at Tilburg University from 1989 to 2005, earning a degree in Economic Psychology. Prior to that, they attended Atheneum from 1982 to 1988, but the degree and field of study are unspecified.
