Lisa Burton

Lisa Burton, PhD, is an experienced Vice President at HearstLab since September 2017, where Lisa evaluates investments in women-led startups focused on media, data, and technology. Lisa leads a team that supports portfolio companies with various aspects, including data, UI/UX design, and marketing. In addition to current roles at HearstLab, Lisa serves as a Board Member for UNLISTED and Time Study, and as a Board Observer for MD Ally, Barometer, EZ Newswire, VRTL, Rock Paper Coin, and Junum. Lisa holds a PhD and MS in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University.
