Neil Robertson

Neil Robertson has a diverse and extensive work experience in the aerospace industry. Neil currently serves as the Head of Mechanical Systems at Heart Aerospace since 2021. Prior to this, they held various positions at Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation from 2017 to 2021, including Flight Control Systems Group Leader, where they were responsible for the leadership and management of engineering activities for the development and certification of the MRJ-90 aircraft.

Before joining Mitsubishi, Neil worked at BAE Systems Regional Aircraft from 1999 to 2017, holding roles such as Engineering and Business Development Manager, Head of Engineering Business, Chief Aerodynamicist, and Principal Aerodynamicist. During their time at BAE, they were involved in the establishment of an on-site engineering team in Japan, supported the delivery of the MRJ-90's first flight, and managed aerodynamics and integration activities for various regional jets and turboprop aircraft.

Prior to BAE, Neil worked as an Aircraft Engineering Consultant at Procol Aviation Services Ltd from 1996 to 1999, providing engineering advice to IPTN, an Indonesian aircraft manufacturer, on certification programs. Neil also worked as an Aerodynamicist at BAE Systems Regional Aircraft from 1990 to 1996, contributing to product development and certification projects for regional turboprop aircraft.

Neil Robertson attended the University of Glasgow from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Aerospace.
