Melissa Kennedy

Melissa Kennedy is an experienced governance and executive support professional with a strong background in the nonprofit sector. Since March 2016, Melissa has served as Manager of Governance & Executive Support at Heart & Stroke, where responsibilities include managing the board's activities, ensuring compliance, and overseeing a team of executive assistants and a governance specialist. Prior to this role, Melissa provided strategic support as Executive Assistant to the CEO during critical times, including the pandemic, after serving as Executive Assistant & Office Manager at Plan International Canada from 2008 to 2016. During that tenure, extensive expertise was developed in preparing documentation, coordinating meetings, and managing projects related to office space build and relocation. Melissa holds an Advanced Diploma in Public Relations from Humber College, earned between 2004 and 2007.
