Heart Math Tutoring seeks to ensure that all elementary students develop a strong foundation in math and enthusiasm for academics by leveraging the powerful resource of volunteer time. Community members commit one hour per week to deliver an effective, hands-on curriculum in one-on-one tutoring sessions during the school day in Charlotte area elementary schools.

Designed in partnership with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, Heart Math Tutoring provides a curriculum that targets conceptual gaps of students. Heart also provides an on-site coordinator to support volunteers, students, and school staff. Volunteers provide one-on-one tutoring twice per week.

The Program Management team at Heart Math Tutoring is responsible for the effective implementation and oversight of the tutoring programs across various elementary schools. They ensure that the curriculum is delivered accurately, coordinate with volunteers and school staff, and provide training and support to enhance the tutoring experience. This team also monitors program outcomes and works to continuously improve the tutoring services provided to students.
