Rick McDonald

Rick McDonald has worked in the technology industry since 1999. Rick began their career at Heart Technologies, Inc. as an Operations Manager. In 2003, they became the Owner/President of PLM Design Homes Inc., where they worked with families and individuals to provide their custom built home. In 2015, they became the Owner of Precision Technology Group LLC, where they operated day to day sales, installations, and service. Rick currently serves as the Director of Low Voltage Solutions at Heart Technologies, Inc., where they are dedicated in leading their Senior/Assisted Living Department, directing their Low Voltage Engineers and Design Team, and directing their Education Department.

Rick McDonald obtained their Journeyman degree in Telecommunications from N.J.A.T.C. I.B.E.W local #34 in 2003. Prior to that, they attended I.C.C. and Washington High School, though no degree was obtained from either institution. Rick has also obtained several certifications, including NEC SL1100 Foundation from NEC Corporation of America in 2017, Bicsi DD102 Designing Telecommunications Distribution from BICSI in 2017, KANTECH ENTRAPASS CORPORATE EDITION from Tyco Security Products in 2016, ALARM.COM CERTIFIED TECHNICIAN from Alarm.com in 2016, OCC (MDIS) Multimedia Design & Intergration Specialist from Optical Cable Corporation in 2017, and SBCA FUNDAMENTALS 2 from Satellite Broadcast and Communications Association in 2015.
