Duane C. is an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a robust background in adult health care, holding a board certification in Adult & Acute Nurse Practitioner. Since August 2022, Duane has been employed at Heart of Florida Health Center. Prior experience includes several roles at MHM Services, Inc. from August 2013 to September 2022, providing primary, chronic, urgent, emergent, and inpatient care. Duane has also served as a contract Nurse Practitioner at the Federal Detention Center Miami and worked as a Registered Nurse in various settings including Baptist Health South Florida and Aventura Hospital. Duane's education includes a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami and a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing, also from the University of Miami. Additionally, Duane has a military background serving in the Alaska Army National Guard.

Heart of Florida Health Center, formerly known as Community Health Services, became a Federally- Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in March 2009 with the addition of dental and behavioral health services. For over 18 years, Munroe Regional Medical Center (MRMC) and Ocala Regional Medical Center (ORMC) generously provided the financial support that made healthcare available through the CHS clinic. In 2007, the Marion County Commissioners and the Florida Department of Health Marion County also began providing funding assistance to expand the range of services offered.
